Wyoming Men Electrocuted Trying to Rescue Shoes from Power Line

A couple of dudes armed with a hockey stick tried to get a pair of shoes off a high-tension electric line in Jackson, Wyoming, over the weekend–with unshockingly shocking results.

According to KSL-TV in Salt Lake City, a 46-year-old man was standing on a couch trying to coax a pair of shoes down off a power line with the hockey stick on Saturday when he was fried by the electrical current.

A 25-year-old friend who was holding the man steady on the couch was also injured in the incident.

There is no word on why the shoes were up on the power line, nor how either one of these two gents ever managed to survive into adulthood in the first place.

Anyway, the older man did not have a pulse when paramedics arrived but was resuscitated while his younger pal suffered burns on his hands in the incident.

The two were flown to the University of Utah Hospital where–despite natural selection's best efforts–they are expected to survive.
